" we hope we could get this oppurtunity again next year. well, friends here are great so are the facilities. HEES!!!!!!!!!! hopefully tonight wont be the last night we had our friendship but hopefully this could continue till the rest of our life. especially the pictures we keep on snapping. and the conversation we keep on talking. we played games such as volleyball, team challenge rescue and the team challenge team. it was terribly FUN!!!!! tomorrow we will be leaving this camp. BUT... WE PROMISE THIS JOURNEY WONT BE THE END! " And another one: " Through this simple fun and engaging games we learn to have good communication skills, team spirit, the spirit of encouraging, the never say die attitude and keeping a cool head. As there a saying , your ATTITUDE determines your ALTITUDE. This is the last night and our team would like to take the oppurtunity to thanks the YoReCa camp coordinators, trainers, NACLI, the MICA, People's Association for giving us the chance to attend this very enriching and meaningful camp. " And another: " DINNER. Last dinner (sob sob) [k I made it sound so sad right?]. As usual, it's delicious. What to expect? We're in a camp with cool and hip and PRETTEH instructors right? Can't help it so the chefs also very good standard, cook until Skunk said that the vegetarian food here was the SECOND BESTEST, other than his mum. No wash up though, cos we had VOLLEYBALL! The edited version. Apparently, sadly, yes sadly, we lost. BUT!!!!!! We lose with fun, teamwork and had a lot of FUN! Oh yes, then we all decided toplay soccer and all aim for skunk. He has to block (he's the goal keeper mah!) and man was he good at it. I mean, two balls at a time and able to defend it off? WOW. So, being the very lovely teammates, we improved his skills by shooting ALL four balls TOGETHER. He, managed to catch one and struggled with the rest. >< *yawn* We're now discussing for our presentations tomorrow and most of us showered (smell much better) and some are going to crash soon, so ciao~ Don't sleep too late readers. Goodnight. " Friday, June 19, 2009 dictatorship
F1 will be disintegrating into a second-tier championship next year. Teams like McLaren, Ferrari, Renault, BMW are withdrawing from next year's F1 Championship. That means you won't be seeing players like Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button performing next year. It will affect various countries such as Singapore, who invested loads of money in it's 5 annual night races, ending in 2012.. All thanks to Max Mosley. The guy who not only caused this, but was also an alleged sex maniac. Thursday, June 18, 2009 yoreca camp part one
Thoroughly enjoyed myself in the 4 day 3 night camp. It sure seems like the most memorable camp I have ever participated in. Four days felt like less than two days. The food, accomodation, games and activities were top notch. My first impression of the camp was: Damn, so many lectures and countless field trips to various boring places, such as Tuas Checkpoint, SCDF Branch, Home Team Academy, SBS Transit Depot etc, and I felt that I was surely not going to enjoy such kind of camp but how wrong I was. I had good food (well, defintely better than the average camping standard), and good accomodation. The games were one-of-a-kind. Most of all, I got to know many people from 30 over schools. It was an emotional final day for most of us. There were tears, hugs, speeches... I'm lazy to write even a summary for this. There were just too many things happening! Look out for the next post. Returned from Phuket. The haven for worshipers of the sun, sand and sea. And indeed, there is a huge number of babes in bikinis and hunks in trunks. Visited islands such as Phi Phi Island, Khai Island and the Monkey Beach. One thing in common: all boast crystal clear waters. As such, was able to snorkel! It enabled me to view the little corals they have there. Fed fishes as well. Darn, I have too many pictures to upload. Is 300 pictures taken in 4 days a lot? Go figure. SERIOUSLY. The World Footballers Of 2007 and 2008 have been snapped up by them. IN A SPACE OF LESS THAN A WEEK. Namely, Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo. Put it in Sing dollars and the price for the two of them is S$408 million. Not forgetting the contract that they signed. Ronaldo will earn S$ 1.67 million a week in the year 2015. Staggering. Mind-boggling. What more? Even this article agrees with me: Unprecedented spending on Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka has Real Madrid's opponents grumbling the team is trying to buy a championship, economists warning of ruin and complaints that the club's US$223 million moves this week are an insult to people in a country suffering severe financial hardship. The club says high-cost players are the price of greatness and claims it will get the investment back and then some when television and marketing deals are factored in. The deals — US$92 million paid to AC Milan for Kaka and a stratospheric US$131 million promised to Manchester United for Ronaldo — were the first moves made by Real Madrid's new president Florentino Perez. Perez made a name for himself with similarly eye-popping transfers during a previous stint as head of the club earlier this decade, including tens of millions of dollars for "Galacticos" David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane. 2-7 June: Friendship and Goodwill Scout Camp; Kuching 10-13 June: Family Vacation to Phuket 15-18 June: Youth Resilience Camp 18-21 June: Patrol Leader Training Camp* 24-26 June: Tripod Camp As you can see, I do not have a lot of time on homework and revision. Not forgetting to mention spending time with friends for movies and outings. Wow, I am absolutely loving this. *: opted out of this (it wasn't compulsory) as there was a clash between both camps Sunday, June 7, 2009 back from camp
The entire camp was in a nutshell, fun. Well, leisure enough for a SCOUT camping standard. Made lots of new friends as well. I will be posting about this really soon, if not long. The accommodation contrast between the first and last night was significant. Compare an insect-infested cabin located right inside the humid rainforest and a 4-star hotel in the heart of the city. Yup, that is what I am talking about. Alright, came back not too long ago, and just managed to catch some tennis action. That's right. Roger Federer has FINALLY CAPTURED THE FRENCH OPEN CROWN. ![]() ![]() ![]() Tuesday, June 2, 2009 pwned
Alright, I'll be away for 6 days (until Sunday evening) for a Scout Camp at Sarawak. As such, no smsing or calling me by phone. I will be leaving in 2 hours time. Shall elaborate on the past two days. Most of my Sunday was spent with Mitchell, Rio, Que and Noel. Proceeded there with Rio via 171. On our way to the Cineplex, we took pictures with ambassadors of the Rockin' without Smokin' campaign. And shared messages with people who smoke on this large piece of cloth. Subsequently, we met the other three. We watched Monsters vs Aliens in 3D at Cathay Cineplex. A memorable experience. Rio wanted to sneak out with the pair of 3D shades, but of course, he failed. Fortunately, or unfortunately, there was the anti-theft tag installed. We then proceeded to Plaza Sing for dinner at Long John's. Got owned by them there. The story: I found my wallet to big to be fit inside my pocket, so I left it on the bench, between Rio and I. Minutes later, I couldn't find it. So I suspected Rio. He denied and tried finding it for me. Mitchell suggested that I approach one of the staff to see if they had spotted it. I didn't, and instead gave up, thinking it was definitely either of them who had stolen it. So I waited. Again, Mitchell insisted that I talk to one of their staff. I reluctantly followed his instructions. Of course, the cleaner denied. I went back to my seat, and Rio told me I was stepping on it. PWNED And so, I picked it up. Yup, so this was how it went. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... We moved on to a little gig, and watched several bands perform. Returned home with Rio via 171 after that. Monday was mostly spent lazing around at home. Went for my first A-Math tuition in the evening. Who would have known. Isaac, Zhan Ming and Amir was in there too! The teacher, Mr Choo was vulgar by teachers' standards. 'Shit happens' 'What the hell' 'Stupid teachers would...' and so on... I need to attend more of his lessons to see if it will be effective. Hopefully, it will. My A-Math seriously needs some bucking up. And this is it. It's goodbye for now. Sunday, May 17, 2009 mundane is the word
![]() Due to the rants from people, especially those from Noel and Rio (just look at the Tagboard), I guess it is right of me to have a new post. Damn, how lazy was I to update my blog. I could not simply make myself update this blog on a regular basis. For this, I admire Mitchell' and Rio's ability to do so. Shall write up on the past two days, and a bit of today. -FRIDAY Physics Paper 1 was (really) easy. It should hopefully cover for the marks lost in Paper 2, which was a total disaster. Rumour has it that 21/40 people failed that particular paper. Fingers crossed... Then came the final paper of the mid-years. What else, the MT LC! Many people were telling me they cheated, how dumb could the invigilatiors get. After school came a little bit of soccer, the first time I was playing it in weeks. Teamed up with Chester, Jong Fei and Munir, and faced Darrel, Jeff, Noel and Bao. Won the match, scored a few goals, most of which were one-on-ones. Proceeded back to school after that, for an Exco meeting. Talked about plans for the later half of the year. Went to Sean's house with Mitchell. Played a few rounds of FIFA09. Scores against Mitchell were a 2-1 win and a 3-1 loss. Scores against Sean were 2 consecutive 2-1 wins and a 3-2 win. Scores against Jeff were a 2-1 and a 2-0 win. Too bad Rio didn't want to come. I'd be happy to face off with him, something which hasn't already been done for months. After FIFA came Halo 3. Again, I sucked (as always) on the first round, having only 7 kills, a far cry compared to Sean's match-winning 25. Yes, that's about it for Friday. -SATURDAY In a nutshell, Saturday was one of the most mundane days I had this year (yet). Woke up late in the morning, something I had to treasure as it was one of the very handful of Saturdays I could wake up late, due to Scout meetings. Played FIFA09 on the PC the whole afternoon. Then watched some no-life videos on YouTube. A real pity I couldn't catch the Man Utd-Arsenal encounter as I had to go to my Grandpa's house. It was a game without sparks anyway. Nonetheless, I managed to catch the last 15minutes of the game. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS ON CAPTURING THE 18TH TITLE. -TODAY Went for service with Dexun and Dennis at Expo. The Reverend from Korea, a special guest, preached an elightening message on intercession. Can't wait to attend the following service. Here am I, now, back home, typing all these out. I'm waiting to watch the match between Federer and Nadal in the Madrid Open. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 nostalgia
Will try to post about it whenever I can, and feel like, yeah? :D Saturday, March 28, 2009 obs to nought
Went to Noel's house yesterday. Spammed Fifa08 (not 09) with another guy whose name I'd already forgotten. Stayed till 10. Cool huh. I don't usually dwell for so long unless I'm sleeping over. This doesn't apply to Rio's house though. :D Before that, I played a little bit of soccer. Preceding that I had the ex-co interview. Was being sprayed with loads of questions. Pretty fun interacting with the teachers. I wasn't in a serious mood at all, and I guess most of the words I'd mentioned were crap, frankly speaking. Time will tell what post I will attain. Sec 3 camp begins on Monday. Speaking of which, I'm SO stricken by the fact that THERE WILL BE NO OBS FOR US THIS YEAR. Screw whoever who had all these planned. I'd been eagerly anticipating for this particular camp for a considerably long time. And now it came to nothing. Monday, March 16, 2009 march holidays
Jobweek just ended. Earned $327 in two days. Not too bad actually. Considering the fact that there is an ongoing recession. Now, allow me to talk about my programme for tomorrow. In the morning, I'll be away to Tanglin Secondary for this "W1 Cluster SL Training" thing. No, that doesn't interest you. How about this: Mitchell's house is where I'll go during the afternoon. What for? He's holding a "Fifa09 League" strictly for Pros at his home. Yup. Pros. That includes himself, Rio, Sean and I. Go read all about it in his blog. Needless to say, we're definitely gonna have one hell of a time over there. Awaiting with BATED BREATH! Gahh!!!!! Oh yes. I guess all of you have heard. Manchester United got owned big time by Liverpool 4-1 at their own stadium. One of their key defenders, Vidic was inevitably the villian in this unthinkable story. He was sent off after being red-carded, and was the one to blame for TWO of Liverpool's 4 goals. I smell a rat... Monday, January 19, 2009 my 15th birthday
I'm really thankful and tremendously grateful to ALL who have wished me a very Happy 15th Birthday, and have given me presents (or will be giving me). You guys have definitely made my day. I definitely cannot ask for more. Now, uber-awesome is the word I'd use to describe today (after school). I was given a birthday bash, and a good one at that. To sum it all up, there were water balloons, spray cans and cake. Nevermind the photos and videos. :O Though I had felt something was suspicious, I never thought the outcome would be what I'd imagined. Special thanks to Norman and company who have planned and set it all up. All of you have given me a truly memorable 15th Birthday... *More photos can be found in Mitchell's, Caecario's and Darrel's blog. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 breathing new life
After months of torment, the exams are over, at last. Every paper was fine, except for Math and Chinese. I already lost a couple of marks due to careless mistakes. Art and D&T have been rather mediocre. I've got nothing to say for my Science, except for the fact that Biology has always been uncertain. On the brighter side, my Humanities have been good. But it's all too late now. The holidays are within days. And I doubt I will be travelling overseas. I will also view it as an opportunity to prepare for Sec 3. Fortunately or unfortunately, I won't have a lot of freedom. These three will occupy some of my holidaying time. Movies (there'll be a number of blockbusters coming up). Soccer (at SP, a chance to sharpen my skills). Games (such as Rio's, Sean's and Noel's house; including no-lifeing at home). Besides that, the higher priority matters. Scouting and Prefect events, activities and camps (there'll be a whole bunch). They will occupy more of my holidaying time. And on top of that, cell group and services. I cannot afford to backslide anymore. It's time to be on fire! After listing those above, my holidays should not be boring. There'll family matters to commit to as well. However, how much I score for my various subjects will inevitably determine my mood during the holidays. I'm hoping for the best, definitely, and not bracing for the worst.
