ATTENDED a Scouts Campfire at
SJI this evening, titled
Dynasty.
they had an
Emperor the s
ize of a five-year old boy, and a prince the
size of a seven-year old boy. haha...how comical!
several Girl Guides also participated, including Raffles Girls, St. Margarets (they won the earlybird prize), CHIJ Toa Payoh, and S'pore Chinese Girls...and they all have a common niche, screaming, which to me, is the
only thing they can do, and they do it
all the time!at the start of the event, we were required to walk through a gateway which seemed to take weeks to make, and collect a booklet.
the way they place their firewood is truly unique, and surrounding it is
water...how cool isnt it? there were also four
towers at every corner of the fireplace, of which, after it lights for a rough 2mins,
explodes itself. thats...even cooler isnt it?? ...haha
on one of the programmes, we were required to get a black bag,
Nike and Adidas socks, hairbands, clothes hangers, and today's newspaper. everyone scrambled on that part. i was so desperate, i even looked to
car drivers at the
car park, and succeeded! another prominent highlight is giving a
tribute to the
Emperor in the hope of
making him happy. we immediately carried a boy there (which was our 'gift' to him), and put him right beneath his feet, and he,
just laid there...it was only a rough 30 seconds later that he finally ran back.
(and yes...im talking about you) ...there were many other fun activities we took part in, but i dont wish to name them all, quite simply because im too lazy too... =)
after the campfire had officially been closed, we gathered for some refreshments, and collect a goodie bag from Cocoa Trees, with chocolates inside (obviously). everyone loved it. after that, came the hilarious part...
four boys with at least
eight doughnuts in their hands, rushed to me, and
without hesitation, squashed all of them inside my bag! i was super freaked out, but couldnt do anything
...the doughnuts do look quite appetising anyway...they just happened to see my bag open i guess. well, they just wanted to clear everything, and i was telling myself i can either have a super-filling breakfast the next day, or i can
open a
shop...
a good effort put in, SJI Scouts...am looking forward to your Games Day!
oh, and one more thing, my haircut was awful! im
almost bald...nothing i can do now...haha...at least, there was a fine equivalence of
good and bad comments from people...
i think i shall end for today, goodnight people, or more appropriately,
good morning!
