Sunday, May 25, 2008 malacca trip
First day: Woke up at 3.40am when I was supposed to at 2.45. But still managed to catch the second half of the match. The match was already held at 1-1. But I guess I don't have to repeat what I've said on my previous post. I left home at 6.20, managed to be in school before 6.45. At school, the teachers did some administrative matters, and left at 7.45. We arrived at the Second Link at approximately 8.15, then proceeded to Malaysia! After we all have cleared the Singapore customs, we met up with our tour guide, who called himself Bob... We stopped over at Yong Peng, and bought some tidbits. It was already 10.30 then. Then, we had our lunch at a country club. I had already been there before, on my P6 Malacca Trip. We then proceeded to Pay Fong High. Not very fruitful. Had to perform the Honky Tonk Stomp. The tour around the school was not very enjoyable either. The host couldn't speak fluent English, and we all giggled behind his back. After the distribution of food and more performances from them, we left for dinner, after we were told that the hotel rooms weren't ready. The water served at the 'Dragon Restaurant' tasted like tap water with Chlorine. Friggin' hell... However though, the dishes were probably the best for that day, better than lunch. After that, we headed for Equatorial! After the briefing held at the place we were to have our breakfast the next day, we rushed to our rooms. To our dismay, there were only 2 beds. But we didn't care, then. Joshua, Norman and I unpacked our stuff without hesitation. I then visited several rooms, literally running around the hotel like nobody's business. Glen and company were drinking beer, and there was chaos in their room. And that applied to 2/5 as well. Mitchell and Noel waited downstairs for another key after Noel inserted two keys on the power slot. Dumb. De Xun and Zhi Wen were watching Discovery Channel. Darrel and Chelston were doing don't know what. Munir and Vincent were crapping around. Jeff and Benedict were roaming around the hotel. Plus, lots and lots more... Returned to my room, and were greeted by several 'outsiders'. Norman spent quite a while in the bathtub, and dropped his phone beneath the waters. A good thing Sean was able to repair it in the end. Then, I took a mere 25 minutes to bathe and shower, and had some snacks after that. Not long after, I went out again. Several teachers caught me including Ms Chong and Ms Lai, but they didn't lecture me or anything. But Mr Yee did, on one occasion, when it was past midnight. My mischief hadn't ended, I sneaked to Mitchell's room to see what was happening. A lot of people were ordering food and spamming the room service. I didn't. Then I came by this leftover chocolate ice-cream cake which was previously bought by Ms Chong. Not bad. It wasn't long before I brought this huge box to my room. Indulging on sin, as Norman said... Quite a while later, I proceeded to Room 902. There was absolute chaos. There were around 15 people squeezing in that room, and there were constant scares of teachers checking on us, but that never happened. It wasn't until 1.45am that we scrammed. Loads of fun. After that, I was finally running out on energy. Fatigued overwhelmed me, and I soon laid flat on the floor. Sleeping on the floor wasn't so bad actually. Second day: Was last to wake up. 7.15am. Miraculously, I only took 10 minutes to finish tidying, clearing up all the uncleared mess, and packing my own stuff. Proceeded down for breakfast. Good enough. When it was time to depart the hotel, there was a strong feeling of reluctance. But it was time to move along anyway. Then, we proceeded to St. John's Hill, Portuguese Square, and a fort. All that searing heat is infuriating. After that, we visited a village. Boring. Next, we went to have lunch. The food sucked. Finally, we were brought to a shop, where we can purchase all the Malacca goods. Eventually, we would arrive back in Singapore, but preceding that is the one and only stopover. Before the stopover, everyone had their eyes closed, but after that everyone were getting chaotic. Nothing much happened after we cleared all the customs. At the end of the day, we bid farewell to a ever-so-enjoyable-trip, though it could have been a lot longer. Done with my report. I apologize if you think this post ended abruptly.
